Frequently Asked Questions

Which kinds of doodles do you breed?

  • We breed F1 and F1b Golden Doodles and Labradoodles ranging from 15-45 pounds. We believe they are the perfect size doodle! They love to go on walks and runs, love to play but won’t topple you over, are easy to travel with, are the perfect size to snuggle…and are always happy to play the lap dog!

  • Our F1 Doodles are a cross between our pure bred Golden Retriever or Labrador Retriever mom and a pure bred Poodle stud. This results in a 50% golden/lab and 50% poodle mix.

    • F1 doodle coats range from smooth to wavy.

    • F1 doodles will shed some and some will have low shedding.

    • F1 doodles are usually good for families with mild allergies.

    • F1 doodle coats are fairly low maintenance but do require occasional grooming, typically a trip to a groomer 1-2 times per year or regular brushings.

  • Our F1b Doodles are a cross between our F1 golden doodle or labradoodle mom and a purebred poodle stud. This results in a 25% golden/lab and 75% poodle mix.

    • F1b doodle coats are typically thicker and more curly than an F1 doodle.

    • F1b doodles typically have low to almost no shedding.

    • F1b doodles are usually good for families with moderate to high allergies.

    • F1b doodle coats do require more maintenance, typically going to the groomer once every 2-3 months and regular brushings.

**Please be aware that no dog is guaranteed to be allergy-friendly towards everybody. The gene which causes the allergic reactions can just as well be in the dogs’ saliva as it can in the coat and dandruff.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes, we offer a one year health guarantee for Hip Dysplasia, Elbow Dysplasia, Blindness from Genetic Eye Disorder or Heart Disease requiring daily medication or surgery. If your puppy is found to have any of the faults listed above by 1 year of age, we will offer a replacement puppy of equal value, quality and sex at no charge within 12 months, upon presentation of said fault by a licensed veterinarian.

Additionally, the buyer has (7) seven days from puppy pick up to have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds the puppy to be seriously illness; contagious, congenital or hereditary in nature (this does not include the presence of external or internal parasites), the puppy can be returned and you will be placed at the top of the next litter list (of equal value and quality), or a full purchase price refund will be given.

Do you ship puppies?

We prefer to transport our puppies that have to make a flight via Airport Delivery Service or Puppy Nanny Service and not in the cargo of a plane. Shipping an 8 week old puppy in the cargo of a plane is very traumatic for a puppy.

  • Airport Delivery Service: This is when you book a flight into our local airport (Reno-Tahoe International Airport) and a return flight back home including a booking with your airline for a puppy to ride in-cabin with you on your return flight. Once you land at the airport we will hand deliver you your puppy. You can then quickly get back on board your return flight and the puppy can ride with you in the cabin of the plane. The additional cost of this service is $150. (Buyer is also responsible for all associated flight and travel fees to be paid to the airline.)

  • Puppy Nanny Service: This is when we arrange to fly your puppy directly to your nearest airport. You meet us at the airport when we land and we deliver your puppy to you. The additional cost of this service is $400 plus the cost of a round trip ticket to your airport from Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
